Being Healthy

At the Daisy Chain Nursery in Reigate, we promote the benefits of healthy eating at all times.

Through guidelines which can be found in the Early Years Foundation Stage, our nursery encourages a positive outlook to healthy food and healthy living. We do this by following a whole setting approach that includes the children, their parents and our staff. Promoting healthy lifestyles during a child’s formative years can help to protect health and enhance wellbeing for life.

If healthy habits are learned when children first learn about food and eating, a positive approach to maintaining a healthy lifestyle for the future usually follows. We carefully structure our meal menu to give children the balance they need from a healthy diet.
